The Best Venue in Derby

It's a bold statement. I know! I don't think there is such a thing as the 'best venue' BUT The West Mill in Darley Abbey is absolutely phenomenal. Built in the 18th century its original purpose was spinning cotton. The modern restoration has preserved the architecture and historical significance of the building which means your wedding will be literally one of a kind. There is no other venue like it! Set over 4 floors with a lift for speedy access (which is a life saver for your legs!). The ceremony room is gorgeous, the wedding breakfast room is gorgeous and the outside courtyard is a photographers dream. But One of the best things about The West Mill is the team behind the scenes, they are phenomenal. Another bonus is NO CORKAGE charges so you can bring your own alcohol, which helps with your wedding budget and getting your guests drunk!

I have shot weddings at The West Mill in the height of summer, the depths of winter and during a flood! Every time, I have come away with beautiful photos. So if you are worried about it raining on your wedding day, DON'T! The West Mill has plenty of space and places for great photos. Check out some of my favourite photos below!
